What is Beyond the Yellow Ribbon?
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon was started by the Minnesota National Guard to help soldiers and their families when they came home. They wanted to help reintegrate them back into the communities they live in.
What is a BTYR community?
A Beyond the Yellow Ribbon community is a network that connects and coordinates agencies, organizations, and employers to create access to resources to meet the needs of current military members, families, and veterans.
Minnesota BTYR
In Minnesota we have 90 networks and 62 companies that are yellow ribbon. We have 61 armories and 2 air wings. According to the state, over 2,000 service members will be deployed from the state by the end of 2019.
Chisago Lakes BTYR
Chisago Lakes Beyond the Yellow Ribbon was proclaimed as a yellow ribbon company and officially a 501c3 non-profit on May 4th, 2019. The cities within the Chisago Lakes network are Chisago City, Lindstrom, Center City, and Shafer.
CLBTYR works diligently to provide service to those who serve us. New members are always welcome to join our task force and be placed on our growing list to be called upon when service members, veterans and their families are in need.
